Ventilation systems are used to exchange indoor and outdoor air and keep the balance inside the constructed space. Ventilation is used to control the quality of indoor air by diluting and displacing indoor pollutant and used to control the room temperature. It can be classified in to four types such as exhaust, supply, balanced and heat-recovery.
Vent Out and Stay Relaxed
Natural ventilation is the most used and tested method to allow fresh outdoor air to replace indoor air. Though it is a proven method it’s outdated and it’s not the best ventilation strategy for today’s world as it doesn’t provide adequate moisture control inside the space. The natural ventilation has been replaced by other efficient methods of ventilation.
Supply and exhaust ventilation system are relatively simple and inexpensive to install. While exhaust ventilation works by depressurizing the building; supply ventilation works by pressurizing the building and it is done by fan to force the air into the building, while the air is leaked out of the building through shell, and range-fan ducts.
